Q1. Who is Louis Daguerre and why is he so special? How did he become independently wealthy? A1. Louis Daguerre is the man who invented Daguerreotype photography. He bcame independtly wealthy by sellling the rights for the daguerreotype to the French government and published a booklet describing the process.

Q2. What types of photos did people have taken when photography was first invented? What were some difficulties they had to endure?
A2. The types of photos that people have taken when photograpghy was first invented was a portrait.

Q3. Name three different types of early photographs? What do they look like? Why were they called that?
A3. Daguerreotype, Photomontage, and Camera Obscura. They would look like this because because when the camera was first invented then the pictures would come out in black and white. The cameras werent really the best cameras because they didn’t have flash, or shutter speed and stuff.

Q4. What is a memento mori, as it relates to photography? Is this still practiced today? What is your opinion on the practice?
A4. The memento mori refers to a wide range of elemnets in art with the purpore of reminding the audience of their own eventual death. Yes this is still practiced today. I like this art because it expresses something, a deeper meaning, and makes you have a image in your head.

Q5. What is a Kodak Brownie? How did it work? Can you buy one on ebay? How much?
A5. A kodak Brownie is a long-running and extremely popular series of simple and inexpensive camers made by Eastman Kodak. You take a look inside a little box and yes you can buy one on ebay for about 12 dollars.
